Hopefully you will seeFantastic lillies! Yeah, she's a beauty broody!
All 3 broodies haven't left their nests all day. By 7:00 p.m. they were all clucking to their eggs. I'm so excited for tomorrow to come!
Hi everyone! I have an almost 6 month old Black Copper Marans pullet. She has been laying for several weeks. Today she was taking forever to lay, or so I thought. After about 4 hours of watching her sit there, I went out to look for an egg. Sure enough, she had laid. She is apparently broody! I took it away over 4 hours ago, and she is still sitting in the same nesting box. I do not have a rooster. Should I leave her be? Should I "bust" her? (I dont mind if she doesnt lay for a while...I am getting plenty of eggs) Should I give her some hatching eggs just for fun or is she too young? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Broody leghorns ,where they from a breeder or hatchery?5 of my 8 leghorns are gone broody. I locked my silkie into the 'broody shed' and now shes broody too. I also have 2 pekins sitting too.
