Mrs hen trying to lay a egg with fluff ball sitting no no

So awhile back my hen was deciding if she wanted to go broody. Many days of sitting then abandoning. I left her with 8 eggs two golf balls. One day she was really into it. The next nothing . So I cleaned out her clutch after 12 days. Checked them, all fertile. Some starting to look a bit different. Here's my question. Since I pulled her clutch ( that she wasn't tending to properly) she has stopped laying completely!! Did I do something wrong? Was it a mistake to take her eggs? I was afraid with the heat they would rot. Can I get her to start laying again ? She's not interested in sitting anymore , she doesn't steal the other girls eggs. Any help would be great! I did beef up her diet with lots of protein, more layer feed and seeds.

Sounds like you need to just watch her and see what she decides to do. If she still wants to be broody she will sit on anything, even an empty nest. If you broke her broodiness it will take a while before she starts laying again. This is what I have learned from my own flock anyway. All chickenalitys are different so just observe her for a bit and see what direction she wants to go.
good luck

Thank you! She has no I treat anymore. Not since I removed her clutch. Guess I'll wait ... How long does it usually take for them to lay again? I know they are all different.
