Broody Hen Thread!

One of our hens went missing, or so we thought... However when we found her she had a little surprise! It's 18 eggs in all! Each egg has development!

She looks to small to cover 18 eggs and as seen in the first picture---she has not got all of them covered. "I" would remove a few of the least developed---so the rest have a better chance to hatch. If I wanted all of them to hatch then "I" would put the few I removed in the incubator. Good Luck!!
Dont worry i made sure she can cover all of them. The first picture was after I candled them, so they were out of place. Before we left i triple checked to make sure all of them were covered..

x2..... I borrowed an incubator last spring when I had a lot of eggs to set for 3 hens. I gave them each 6-10, depending on their size and placed another 10 in the incubator. I knew there would be a few duds and on day 10 we candled and pulled any duds and replaced them with incubator eggs, then did the same about day 16 and at that time we were able to shut of the incubator and the hens hatched out all of the eggs for us.
