Broody Hen Thread!

Should I even bother with her? Or just write her off as not ready yet?
If she has stopped laying I would still give it a go if you can. Nest hopping is normal because her hormones are all over the place. I would try and move here at night.

Thank you so much! You've been very helpful! I will try it tonight and give it 48 hrs. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the replies about the turkey. I couldn't really put something over her in the spot she was in. We moved her to my old goat house and I made a nest and put food and water in there and made a chicken wire door. It's been 2 days and shes still sittin! 16 eggs-hope it goes well!

Your welcome and good luck.I hope she is succesful and nice looking turkey.

Hello this will be my first intentional go at having a broody hatch a clutch. Any tips to "jump start" a hen?

If one went broody last time then it might be best to separate her and let her build up a clutch
