Is that so, i thought they had to be in for 1 day before they are on Day 1?from the time the eggs are placed.
I always count day 1 as 24 hours later, and they hatch on day 18 (almost always) If I counted the way you do it, then they would hatch on day 17, is that even possible??I always counted from the day they were placed, and even counting that way my chicks still hatched on the 20th day. It is hot here, FL, and humid, so that may be why. I'm not sure if that is the"scientific" way to count, but what I had read on broody hatching threads.
I count the first day as day 0, then, when they are 24 hors old i call them 1 day old1 How do you do it??If you counted the first day as day one, than they would be hatching on day 19, because it would be one more day, not one less. Right? now I'm getting confused......
