Broody Hen Thread!

Nice. Mine free range. What breed? Yep. Of course.
They always seem to "nest" under a group of shrubs near the house, or come right up to the door to sleep and leave you nice little surprises to walk across in the morning.

This is the only photo I have of them there in the top left corner. This was a day the WHOLE flock was in the chicken run, except I have 5 new hens and also 1 less today, so it is no longer current.

Ah. Lol. Yeah. Muscovies, my favorite. Kinda looks like two drakes and a hen but I could be wrong. How long have you had them?

I think you are right about two drakes and a hen. The two black ones are much prettier, so I assume they are males! They are my brother-in-laws and he brought them to the farm a little over 6 months ago I believe. We all live on what we call the compound haha. Farm and ranch with all sorts of critters.

Ah. I see. Well if that other is a hen you'll know in couple months, she'll set sooner or later.
