my second broody's clutch is hatching, 5 so far. she's a first timer !!!!

Thanks. I have been reading up on them and think some Orpingtons eggs will be next in the incubator:) I just have to talk the DH into agreeing:fl

My broody hen Annabelle hatched her first clutch yesterday! I have 3 dark chicks and 1 yellow chick, from my mixed flock with a barred rock roo. Too cute!

I think she's a bantam RIR or production red. I'm less excited about pruebred chickens and don't have the space to separate and breed. So my flock is a barnyard mix. I went to a local farmer who had lots of chickens and picked out the pretty ones.

Hello there this is my first time one a site like this so i am not sure if i am doing it right. Could anyone please help me I have not been keeping chickens long and am not very experienced.I have two hybrid big hens and three bantams, one of my bantams has gone broody.I mentioned this to a friend who has ordered me 6 hatching bantam eggs(without my consent) I am very worried as i am not sure what to do with these and how to go about it.

Is there anyone who could give me some advice as I am really concerned and cant stop worrying about the eggs and my hens.

thank you jc57

Ps the eggs have not arrived yet.
