I have two white silkies that went broody and hatched one chick together. Now that it has hatched one of my broodies buries her head underneath the other broody. She tries to get almost all the way under her and just lay there as if she is brooding again. The other hen does not mind and the baby chick is only a day old and lays under them both. Why is this silkie behaving this way?

When the hens came out to eat and drink and the chick was hobbling along she tried to get under at one point. This is still an indication that she wants to still the silkie away? They both help her get to the feed and such as well.
