Broody hen going on day 6 in broody box. Last time she broke in 3 days. The only thing we are doing different is the broody box is not in the run with the other chickens. It has also been very warm here 90 degrees and humid. Should we put it in the run so she can see all the fun the others are having? Any other suggestions?

Also we are concerned about the reintroduction when she finally breaks as our 5-7week old chicks have become fairly integrated with the rest of the flock while "Broody Trudy" ( that's her new name) has been in jail. Should we worry?

Can you put her broody box in the run so she can see the others? Will it be out of the sun?

Where is the box located? You may want to put a fan on her to circulate air, that may help.

We have had a fan on her. We just moved the box just outside the pen in a shaded area in hopes that will help. It is not supposed to be as hot the next few days so hopefully she will come around.

I'm assuming the 'broody box' is an elevated wire bottom cage that allows cool air to reach the underside of the hen. If it is, adding a fan to bring in cool air to the space under the wire.
Our broody jails were homemade wire cages hanging from the ceiling of the hen house.

Yes It's a wired bottom cage. We had a fan on her when she was in the barn next to the cooped area. I even hosed of her underside on the really hot days. I was worried about the heat She actually seemed to like it. Now we moved her out next to the outside enclosure. There is a nice breeze today and its in the 70s instead of 90.

I agree a cold butt dunk helps mine, hold her under for awhile . Not freezing water but cool to your touch. Another thing that worked for us is a change of scenery, as their hormones are readjusting mine look around a new spot and think “ ohh food!!” Start eating and broody no more
