Broody hen

Hey guys, I’d like to keep yous all posted on my broody RIR hen, she’s sitting on golf balls at the moment.
Brahma eggs arrive next Tuesday. Let’s see how it goes

I just put eggs under my BLR Wyandotte.

I put 12 Brahma eggs under her, today is Day 11, I candled them on day 7 and ten out of the twelve look great. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.

On the other hand. I had a broody duck hatch ducklings thismorning

I saw a little beak pocking out from under her wing
I’ll post some pics of them when the mamma lets me see them. She’s being extremely protective right now

I'm still waiting on mine too, hopefully by tomorrow I get something, otherwise I guess we are done. I did see a few pips when I checked them earlier.

On the other hand. My broody hen is on day 16 and one of her eggs exploded today.
I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.... all the others look fine. I’m hoping at least one hatches cause she’s been broody for a long time.
