Good evening everyone.

I have question about eggs under a broody hen. I saw a post in the website about not cleaning the eggs. Well, somehow another hen came in the nest and busted an egg an created a mess in the nest. My question is the eggs that got dirty, can them be clean to save the fertilized eggs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Clean as best you can without washing. The problem may not be the eggs being dirty, but the hen. Check to see if she has egg stuck to her underside.
The reason this is important is she must be able to turn the eggs and if her underside is sticky, the eggs will stick to her and not be turned.

I will check the hen and clean the mess. My Concern was the eggs not hatching because bacteria got on it.

Gracias
