Here is one I just put on the baby silkies contest, but it also shows mama who just finished brooding the babies.

From left to right, Tiny (this is her first time, she is the youngest) then the middle is Ms. Frizz (her second time, she has babies about 5 weeks old now, and finally, Topper, who is the oldes silkie I have but this is her first time brooding.

Boy has production dropped around here.

Last spring one of my hens disappeared, we assumed she got snatched by a predator. Weeks later we heard little peeping noises coming from an old unused shed--she had hatched 6 chicks up in the attic, on this nest of rubber bands! :oTook this picture of her before we relocated everyone.

It doesn't show well in the photo, but it was amazing how flat she made herself, spread out like a feathery pancake.
 
Well, I guess her nest is as good as any, barnkat! LOL Chickens are so funny sometimes.
BTW- What breed is she?

She's a bantam Araucana, from McMurrays. I've got three Araucanas from them--I really like their coloring, each with different shades of white to wheat to blue.
