hi, we have a broody bantam who just started laying eggs today. so far she has 5 eggs under her. the only rooster we have is a standard size. is there any possibility that she will hatch eggs, and if so, is it normal for her to lay so many at once? thanks

If five eggs appeared in her nest today, someone else is helping her. A hen can not lay 5 eggs in a day. Depending upon the size difference, it is possible that a large rooster may successfully breed a bantam hen.

Hey, our Bantu has been incubating for 4 days. I candled the 2 of the eggs today, but didn't see anything. I am not sure if they are fertile, since our rooster is standard size. How can I know for sure if they are fertile or not?

When will I be able to know for sure if the eggs will hatch or not?
