Broody hens club!!!

Here's one of my australorp, due on Tuesday. This is my very first hatch ever! I thought I'd never get a broody! Now, I also have a golden laced Wyandotte that went full blown broody a few days ago too...all in the same month!! I feel like I've hit the jackpot! I'll post pics of the Wyandotte later.

This is Cruella sitting on her mountain of eggs :) I don't know what to do, because she keeps taking on more and more eggs, I don't want to take her out from the coop, cause the other hens take turns sitting with her (the mid wives).

Yesterday I got a smaller dog cage ( door open) and put 32 eggs (whhhaaaat) and hen in so she can stop egg hoarding, and concentrate on the ones she's got, I'm hoping this will be a solution to my broody hen problem. I have full intentions of just leaving Mumma and her babes when the arrive in the coop. We have added smaller gauge fencing around the bottom so they can't wander out. Anyone have any experience with leaving Mumma with her wee ones in the coop?
