Just got back from a 4 day trip my hen has stolen all the unfertile chicken eggs plus 2 of her fertile ones. And a silkie has decided she wants to set on some of the turkey eggs and unfertile eggs. I took all their eggs. I have eggs I'm about to set in a hatcher to hatch out Tuesday. Should I just give them these eggs about to hatch or give them some I brought home with me from my farm that have the whole 28 days to go.

Most won't switch from sitting to raising unless they have been sitting a week or two. Some will.

Ok im drowning in poults right now I have 11 in a brooder, 4 eggs I just set in the hatcher after reading your reply, 5 incubating to hatch in another week or so and 12 eggs I'm setting today. Little ocd goin on. And I'm thinking I may be better off not letting her set she shares a pen with chickens and is wanting to make her sitting nest in the main nesting box everyone uses. Plus the silkie hen is playing peck ninja trying to set beside her. Saying all that I do have a large 6x6x4 coop none of them use could I put some food water in there and block the door to keep her in to set on the eggs I brought back today that have 28 days to go or is it a gamble if she'll want to stay on them in there.

I would put her in there on fake eggs and see if she sits

I'll try that. If I'd known she was going to get serious with it I woulda took her to my farm and left her in the empty 12x12 pen. It had a Bourbon red tom and hen in it I just brought them back to be able to keep her eggs.
