Hillbilly Hen, If there is a way to seperate them from the others with chicken wire, I would do it. The chicks need water too. Is there some way you can build a ramp or remove that bottom board so they can get out of the box?
BTW, they are soooo cute!!!!!!!!!

OMG! That's awesome news! I told you not to give up!!!!!
I know. I can't help over reacting sometimes. I just had the phone repair guy here and he said Belle was out when he was here at 12:30. I didn't get home till 1:45ish. A whole hour @ 38*. I had to candle again. Glad I did. I am not giving up, just a little nervous.
I have decided that I will put mama in a cage in the coop, it's gonna be a bit crowded in there but when I was out there earlier one of the other hens walked up to the nest box, saw the baby and tried to peck it. Besides I worry that one of the babies is going to fall out. My new coop is going to have a brooder pen.
I know hijacking is frowned on but nobody has answered my broody hen ? in incubating so maybe you all can help a newbie and her newbie broody. My hen has been sitting now for 4 days. Since I eat the eggs and sell some, I took the oringinal eggs out from her and ate them
Last night I came to my senses and put 3 eggs laid by others under her. 1st question is that said eggs were in a 30*ish coop for approx 6hrs before placed under miss broody...are they viable or have I wasted her time? 2nd question is ...they hatch in 20days right?( I told you I was new!!!!) Should I move her or leave her be, as she is in one of a three holer? Please educate as Im clueless
