Broody in Feb!!!??

Hi everyone. DH and I just went out to check on them today. She doesn't have mites. We have checked for that. She was more active today, but her face and comb are still pretty pale. Exactly what kind of electrolytes would I put in their water? Also, how long should I leave that remaining egg in there since neither hen is really sitting on it? The chicks are doing well. Growing fast. It's still hard to believe they fit in that little egg.

Only a few more days left! I put up a gate between the broody and the rest of the bunch in the coop. She also has her own food and water. Only 7 eggs left. She booted one out of the nest, and it candled as having been a late quitter. It was full but kind of sloshy. Fingers crossed for the rest.

I would try to put all five under her tonight. Wait until after dark and I heard to put them under her from behind. I guess thats so she doesn't see you put them there but I did read to wait until after dark to do it.

It will be alot easier on you if she takes them under her wing and will save on electricity.

well, I just set 13 eggs under the newest broody, I've named her Lily for this occassion.

not all standard size eggs thus the Lucky 13 number.
