Broody in Feb!!!??

The babies are in the coop with the others, just in a sectioned off area where the others cannot get into. I had to get the teens out of there first but it was time to do that anyway. I think I found out where the one got out so hopefully that problem is fixed. Thanks everyone!

eggs due to hatch tomorrow, at the latest SUnday. woo hoo. Have a wager in the house with the kids and hubby on how many will hatch.

Thought I was going to have some bad news today. My broody turkey is a little over half way through. Today, she wanted off the nest and out of the box. I let her. She went to the water, even though I have water in with her. She drank and drank. Then she took her "constitutional" then went to eat. I have food in with her also. I hung around awhile thinking she'd go back. She didn't!

I went back to the house to give her some space. Went back out and she still wasn't on them. My trouble at this point is I don't know which one she was to put her back in. I have three and I can only tell one apart from the others. I felt the eggs. They weren't cold, so I decided to candle. I candled all six. They were all full. I couldn't see anything, but compared them to a freshly laid turkey egg. That one was very bright. I finally gave up and went to the house. I came back out about an hour later and she was back on. Go Lena! I guess she knows what she's doing. She needed to stretch, now that the weather is warming up.

I zip tied my broody chicken, but didn't even think about doing that with my turkey.
