Broody in Feb!!!??

what age can you start telling better for sex of chicks. Mine are now 4 weeks old. I want to post some soon, see if anyone can help me guess.
Some I am pretty certain on, others, not so much.
they are all different sizes, one is growing much faster then the others, and others seem so little.
they are flying everywhere though. would like to get them moved out to a bigger area, but, the mama doesn't seem to want to get out yet. shocking.

I have another chicken gone broody. My only RIR is sitting on two eggs. Sadly one will never hatch... it is a wooden egg. I could have put a couple under her but she has been so back and forth the past couple of weeks trying to decide if she was going to be broody or not. Last weekend my BIL took home the little BR/wellie cockeral that I had hatch. I am pretty sure the other is a girl and I think she is getting very pretty. I had to put her in with my 3 week old meat chickens tonight because I did not want to put her back in the cage that she had been at night. I figure she could get up on a perch away from the meaties if she needed too and hopefully she wont be the one picking on the others. I let her free range during the day with the older chickens so hopefully she will be able to go in with them soon.

Na! She was joking!

I'm on day 10 for my second round of bator hatching. I had to pull out 12 unfertiles and 1 early quiter. Been working on a new coop for the babies. Can't wait to get them outside.

Man, they stink! I have them in our "dog room". It's also the laundry room. We put the dogs in there to dry off before they come in the house. But they sure stink! I have 43 baby chickens and 1 quial.

so my Easter weekend eggs have begun to hatch, should see some new faces Easter Sunday.

and on this day, Saturday, I have a 3rd girl go broody. Just as one finishes another begins. THis time it's my bantam cochin.

Bantam Cochin gave up, whew. I need a break.

I just set 4 Bourbon Red turkey eggs under a BO and 12 mutt eggs under a different BO. We'll see in 3 and 4 weeks.

well, I had 10 eggs hatch over the Easter weekend, good hatch. cute babies. a nice mix of colors. plus a bantam. too cute. so small.
