Broody in the Dog's Bed

I tossed out two eggs today which candled clear whilst Mrs Grey strutted around outside. She is back again now with her favourite boy (as it happens A Dark Brahma !) sitting next to her. The eggs she had were not the best, hubby broke those, so she has 2 Brahma and a three Brahma X Warren now, but she will be happy enough if she hatches anything. I'll get her a few day old chicks (or a couple of puppies) if they fail to hatch.

Thought I'd post a picture of Mrs Grey at visiting time.

Darky is the big Dark Brahma boy lying by her side....she likes him and he is her favourite hen. Next we have Mrs Grey, then an elderly Warren and, on the right, Whitey the Red Pyle Brahma boy.

Littered around are tools, bags of feed etc!

Talk about chaos!

Hi Imelly,

Mrs Gray is still sporting her poultry saddle. He consort....usually Darky the huge Brahma boy next to her is very heavy. He has rendered her back rather bare from feathers, so she and a couple of the other favourites of the boys wear saddles,
