Broody Killing Chicks

HELP! My broody hen has been killing all of her hatching chicks! I moved all of the eggs inside, but my incubator is not available to put them in. I have them in a box with a heat lamp. I am spraying them with water, but how much do I spray them with? I do not have a humidity thermometer!

Sorry to hear that!
I would mist them when they dry out. Try to keep them moist but you don’t want to drown them. Is the temperature good? @casportpony @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock

Don't spray the eggs at all..Have water as humidity in a separate sponge or dish.

Oh Gosh! I’ve been spraying them for a while now. I will put a dish of water in now!

She was separated in the coop! I saw her pecking at the one. Then I intervened.

Was she killing or pecking? Most Hens want total privacy or stress can cause that.
