Broody Leghorn

The Leghorns have been known to go broody

very rare but they do

but i would advise dont let her aqs they are rubbish at incubation and rearing

All leghorns have the large overhanging comb and in winter need special care to prevent frostbite

vasaline is the best for it

also all hybrids have the large comb too

teh whitestar is a hybrid [white eggs and large comb and all the same chars, skittish and flighty]

I use to have 3 white leghorn broody hens for 5 years before going to game fowl. I would love to have leghorns again, if I could go to the feed store and get 5 of them.
