Thanks, Cynthia. She is as you know from a breeder here in California. I am glad that I have three of her cochins because she just sold off all of her cochins and is moving in another direction. I think these cochins are beautiful. Sophia is such a calm mom for being young.

There is nothing quite like listening to a mama talking to her babies. Sophia has a lower "voice" than my other broodies have had. It is almost as if she is "purring"... The babies cheep and follow her wherever she leads them. Today she was digging and showing them bits and pieces of some kind of root which they heartily ate.

I wish I could share them, even all the way to the great state of Texas!!
