Ok so long story........
One of our Australorp went broody last month. We have no rooster but a friend gave up 6 eggs for her to hatch.
One a skunk took.... 2 got broke from her..... one hatched and she killed.... the next day another hated and she tried to kill we took and is fine living in the house for now with a chick I bought today do to the last egg not developing....
So no eggs are with her now
My question. Wil she stop now if I get eggs twice a day and make her get out of her box? Do I need to close that main box off that she uses? This evening she was out of her box laying on the coop floor and picked her up her broody bum was laying on two eggs from the other chickens she will not let in that nesting box. We are at or over 25 days of this mood swing she has going on. We will not let her be a mom again where she killed and hurt the baby's
