Yeah my Miss Eggysness also tried to sleep the chicks in the nest for too long. So I had to close it off so they didn’t learn to sleep in the nests as adults and keep spoiling them up.This is my Black Australorp hen, Rocky. She's 4 years old, and has gone broody 3 years in a row. I wanted to add some more chickens to my flock this year, so I decided to let her raise chicks. She is an amazing mom, and she takes really good care of her 4 chicks. Her babies are 13 weeks old now, and she still sleeps with them in the nest!
