Broody now!

Well, I'm glad that I waited on pics because I now have not one but TWO broody hens!!!

Speckle, the lead hen decided that she wasn't too fond of her daughter getting all of the attention, so sure enough, she went broody today!

Now I've got momma and daughter sharing the same nest!

LUCKY! Now you got 2 soon to be mommys! I think i may have another BO going broody but im not sure yet. How many eggs are they sitting on?

hahaha! I LOVE that closeup of the stinkeye!! That is what I am getting today from my girl.

I can't wait to replace her dud eggs with fertile eggs! I bet I will get more than the stink eye when I go to do that!!

Day 6 for my broody hen! Whats everyones elses momma hen on till hatching?

It will be a week for me on saturday!! Still got 2 more weeks! OO WHAT AM I GONNA DO!

Day 5 for Maranatha, day 2 for Speckle and it ALREADY FEELS LIKE 3 WEEKS!!!! ARGH!!!!

well- I am so jeolous of you guys!

My fertile eggs may come in the mail tomorrow- hope hope hope!!!
Until then my broody BA is giving me the stinkeye while sitting on three duds!!

She is being so faithful to those dud(infertile) eggs so far, I hope she is just as true to the "real" ones.

Any tips for placing the fertile eggs?

I plan to wait until dark. I've seen that some of you have just placed them near and the momma takes care of scooting them under her? I hate to ruffle her feathers too much by trying to shove things under her right now!

Hopefully she'll be setting on the REAL clutch by tomorrow night!!
