Broody now!

My white leghorn is broody. This is her second time but I stopped her the first. She was on the nest yesterday evening, but when i lifted her to see what was underneath, she bolted for the coop. Found her today sitting on two ping pong balls, so I added some EE eggs to a nest a set her on it and that's where she is staying. About 9 eggs from all different kinds on hens, all mated with a mottled houdan roo. This is my first time hatching, is there anything special I need to do? Should I separate her? And how long does it usually take to hatch? Thanks! Looking forward to my first chicks!

WOW are you sure its a leghorn? Leghorn are non setters?

Well I'm not an expert, but I bought her as a chick and she looks like a leghorn. This is the second time she's gone broody. Only one of my flock to do so. Either that or she's lazy and doesn't want to get up.

Whenever i have a broody hen i always separate them for safety purposes for her and when she hatches the chicks. Today is day 7 for me so i still got 14 days!

I always leave them with the hen because IMO they get bigger and get exxcpeted into the flock easier if they have a momma to protect them. And you dont have to take care of them and theres nothing more enjoyable then watching a momma hen with her chicks!
