Broody now!

My girl is going strong. Hasn't moved off the nest(I put food and water right next to her) that I know of. And she 'bit' my husband LOL when he tried touching her. Guess her setting is for real!!

I seriously need to calculate what day she is on. Is it terribly awful that I don't know?

My broody blue Jersey Giant is on day 19! Still has 15 eggs under her so can't wait to see how many hatch! I take her off the nest every morning to make sure she is eating and drinking.

Well I got my hubby to get interested in letting Dot sit upon some eggs since she is soooooo bent on being broody. I marked the three eggs with todays date so noone will grab them and surrounded them with golf balls so she will not feel compelled to wait and just do her natural thang and start sitting. So I am with you as of 4/20 with a proposed hatch date of 5/10? Dot will be one on 5/15 so I think it will be a nice present!

Now what do I do!

i dony have to take my cochin bantam off the nest to make sure shes eating she is a hog

i tried ten eggs under her but that was to much so i took two away because they where cold.

We're on day 10 and 12 and the broodies are still going strong!

I can't wait to see what hatches out of 29 eggs and how many we'll get...
