My one year old+ pekin may be going broody but I'm not 100% sure. We have hens going broody all over the place lately, so I am experienced with the hens but not the duck.
I haven't been collecting her eggs so she has quite a few in there and every day she spends more and more time in the box. She does still get up and goes out, plays, eats whatever. I just don't know if she is spending enough time on the nest to sustain the eggs. She is definately more interested than ever before...
How will I know if they are going to hatch and how long should I wait before giving up?

Just leave her to it.
ducks like to make their nests slowly. She won´t sit on them fully until she has laid her full clutch. Sometimes they can end up with a lot of eggs in them. When she feels ready she will sit and then believe me you wont be able to move her. She will start hissing and ruffling her feathers at you.
Looks like you will be having some ducklings soon
