Broody Pullet

I have 4, 5mo, brahma pullets. They started laying about 2 weeks ago. As of this week, I have been getting 3-4 eggs a day.

Usually, I listen for the song and after I have heard 3 or it hits 2 pm I go check and remove any eggs. I have yet have one lay after 1pm or so. Today I heard 3 songs and went to go check around noon, To find Cruella sitting in the nest. So, I figured she was doin her thing and I would hear another song eventually. Went back out at 3, after not hearing anything, and she was still sitting in the same spot. She did not peck at me but she did put up a fuss when I tried to take the eggs from her. She puffed out her feathers, held out her wings a bit more, and started fussin at me. Which is unusual for her. She's usually pretty timid compared to the others.

Is it possible she is already goin broody? Should I let her keep some eggs if she is?

I just want to make sure I keep the girls happy.


P.S. I tried lookin through some other posts and I am having trouble locating information on this issue. If there is already a post I will take all the direction I can get.

She might just be taking her sweet time. If she stays on the nest for a few days then she might be broody.

Thank you for the reply! Is it ok that I keep removing the eggs or should I just wait for her to move?
