I need some insight from people with more experience in the broody chicken department. I have a 9.5 month old Faverolle that has gone broody on me. I also have some eggs that need hatching. I have an incubator but I'm wondering if she's old and wise enough to be a mama. I've been pulling her out of the nest box for days, but she just keeps getting more determined to sit on her eggs. I was also wondering if it might be terribly stress for her if the "her kids" moved to a different home when they were old enough. Any thoughts? Should I give her the eggs?
