All of my birds lay in the same nest, I've got a broody Buckeye (she's been broody for a couple of days now) who is sitting on the communal nest. So far I haven't tried to move her, so she's sitting on a couple of days worth of eggs. My grandmother had told me that she'd start to chase the other birds off of her nest, but everyone still keeps laying in the same nest. Will they eventually start laying somewhere else?
If they don't, what is the best way to move her, so that she doesn't give up being broody? Or should I just mark the eggs that she's sitting on, and collect the 'new' eggs when she's of of the nest?

(I know this has been discussed, but searching the archives came up with a bajillion threads about how to break a broody, and little about how to keep one who is broody in that state.)

Thanks! That answered my questions.
