Broody Question

I am hoping that one of my hens will go broody am wondering if I stop collecting the eggs would it maybe cause one to go broody?

A lot more likely if you left eggs...But then again, it depends on your hen's breed...

There is no guaranteed way to 'make' a hen go broody. You can always try to encourage her by leaving eggs.... but that doesn't usually work. (But... you never know...)

Ive got a partridge rock that I had ordered from mcmurry just because they advertise them as frequent setters. She is a year old.

I would buy some fake eggs or golf balls and leave in there. That way eggs aren't wasted...An easy and economic resolution.

I bought a couple fake eggs the other day, I didnt think about the golf balls. Ive got a big bag of them in my truck. I will put some out tomorrow.
