I tried the search feature and there are so many broody posts it
would take me all night to go through them. I hope some kind and
knowledgable soul will anser the following:

Will a broody get up and eat?

Should we feed her in the box?

She's a fat Buff. Should I add some eggs? (She has 2 now)

This is our first girl, and one of our favorites, to go broody.
She's gonna make a great mom.

Well done, Yes add some more eggs if the original ones are close in age to them.
Yes leave her there and if you really get worried about her eating and drinking by all means pick her up and put her out next to the feed and water. She will shake her feathers, have a big poop, drink then eat then get back to work!! If she gets confused and forgets where she left her eggs, pick her up and place her next to them.
I go through this often with my broodies!!!
You can feed her in the box however she will still need to stretch her legs and poop! and boy will she poop!
Keep us posted!!

My blue cochin gets up to eat once aday. She does a colon cleanse etc. preens a little and then back on the nest. Usually she does this late afternoon. I gave her eggs for about the first 3 days after she started brooding. She is setting a total of 11, I figure we might get lucky if she hatches a total of 5.

Cat turd? I'm laughing so hard it hurts.
It seems another one of my posts has gone to the toilet.
I know... No one is surprised.
