Hello! I am completely new to Serama and hatching chicks. Up until now I have ordered chicks and have never seen one hatch. I have a Serama trio (2 hens and a roo) who have just started laying and I would love to let them hatch some babies. She lays about an egg every other day. We have been collecting them because she hasn't been sitting on the single eggs during the night. Should I just leave her to her eggs? Will she not sit on them until she has enough? Is this how they get them to all hatch at the same time? Will the other larger chickens disturb them? Can I move them to a safer place without her getting upset?

Okay! Thank you so much! She is basically ignoring the eggs but I wasn't sure if that meant she was waiting until she had more gathered up to sit on? I have no idea how this works.

She will sit on one egg until she lays the amount she wants. You'll no when she goes broody she will fluff up and won't get out of the coop xx
