one of my WH ducks has decided to go broody, i think. she is 8 months old. she keeps building up her nest in the laying box but she is not sitting on any eggs as i collect them every morning. the eggs are not fertile anyway. i keep shooing her out but she makes a ruckus at me, runs around, gets some water and hops back in. i have only had ducks since march so i am not entirely confident in what i am doing. can i just give her some fertile duck eggs to hatch or is it different than with broody chickens? someone, please advise.
