Broody with no roo? Pic Added *UPADATE*

I felt so terribly bad yesterday... I put some scratch down in the run and broody hen #2 got up out of the nest. So then I took the eggs that she was laying on. She was sooooo mad! So then I went and checked on her and she stole broody hen #1's eggs and #1 was sitting on #2! There were fighting over who gets to sit on the eggs! Oh, poor girls. I hope I did the right thing? I don't know. I have only been getting 0-2 eggs a day out of the rest since they started this nonsense. So now I still have two broody hens and I don't think I'll have to make any more laying boxes because they are only taking up one spot!

Do they look like partridge rock/cochin mix? I heard they were good setters and one has feathers on her feet.

When we have a broody, I just let her set. I give her golf balls and take the eggs daily.
I have a scovy duck who has been trying to hatch a golf ball since early spring. She steals the chicken eggs to set on for the day til I take them away. One day I will go out there and find Tiger Woods scratching and pecking in the run because her golf ball finally hatched.
