This has been an interesting thread to read - I have my first little flock who are 7 mos old and one seems to be broody. She hasn't laid an egg since Tues and has been living in the nesting boxes (which particular one varies) since last Friday (9 days ago). I did some reading about broody hens and I had planned to just wait it out and let her run her course naturally. However, yesterday when I brought them some oatmeal I didn't want her to miss out so I took her out of the nesting box and over to the oatmeal. She happily ate and acted normally - until she had a large, explosive, bright green poop!
I've read a few threads on here about green poop that are a bit concerning. Basically that it can mean she is starving herself or have worms. So I'm curious to hear your opinions. I haven't read anything on any broody threads about the green poop nor anything on the green poop threads about the possibility of it being due to broodiness.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!!
