Has anyone noticed their girls going broody more often when there is no rooster??
 
It's because if you have too few hens the roo will aggravate her while she's on the nest.

Everytime i get rid of my roosters my girls go broody. Keep roosters and nothing....
 
My 2 roosters are fighting w each other now. But on a good note i have 3 broody hens now!
