Hi thanks for all your advice i ended up putting the cage in the coop and left her in it for 2 days. I let her out yesterday morning and has been active since. I have seen her sitting down on the ground out side a few times but hasn't been going to the nesting boxes. Roughly how long should it be untill she begins laying again?

I’d say 2-4 weeks sometimes shorter sometimes longer. Her sitting on the ground outside isn’t a sign she is broody. Like every animal chickens also need to rest and sit down for a bit.
