I's not my silkie though. It's my sex link, do they normally go broody?
Doesn't matter what people think is normal... ALL chickens are individuals. The more people and chickens I have contact with the more I see things that aren't "considered" normal.
In my small town, recently had a guy with a a broody sex link who yes hatched and raised a beautiful batch of babes... after he got a rooster from me BECAUSE the sex link hen was indeed broody.
I also had a hatchery barred Rock sit and raise a beautiful clutch as well. And my Swedish Flower Hens, and my French Black Copper Marans... and last but not least, yes all of my Silkies so far have raised clutches as well
