Brown eggs and my weird mother

I got some pickled quail eggs.....my sister would not try one because the yolk is too small.

Seriously......the yolk is too small.

And she will not eat my eggs because they are just gross. She wanted to know why my eggs don't run all over the skillet when I cracked them in. She asked if they had gone bad!!!

For Pete's sake!

Interesting Dancing Bear, I never thought of that. She lives in MN where the weather has seemed to think it is funny to hit temps like -40 so I can see where it would be more than possible that the eggs had frozen. I will have to ask her when she got them and tell her about that. Here, we have not had problems with the eggs freezing, and while the yolks are firmer than store eggs, they are not that difficult to mix up, lol.

LOL Harley's girl, people are so funny about eggs! They want their bread fresh and their eggs stale, lol.

No offense to anyone, but they really need to do some egg research. You should make egg salad or something for them, say you used store bought eggs, and then if they say how delicious they are, tell them that they actually came from your chickens!! It is a little mean, but maybe they will change their minds. Whoever doesn't like a fresh egg is crazy. Whoever grew up on a farm who doesn't like fresh eggs is crazier(no offense to anyone or their mother....

ROFLOL! I have to agree. My mom did also grow up on a dairy farm, but they did not have chickens. My Grandma was afraid of them ... flogged by one too many roosters as a child, I guess.
