I have heard people say over the years that they like brown eggs better than white, but my experience has always been, that I can’t tell the difference, a blind fold test is the best way to do it and it’s always one time white the next time brown.
The economical chicken to raise would be the leghorn, they are flighty and their feed conversion is great and they lay really large eggs and lots of them, and they taste really good.
Has anyone ever tried the blind fold test tasting eggs?

Color of an egg shell doesn't influence taste of the eggs, it's the richness of the diet.

Don't be silly. EVERYBODY knows that chocolate eggs taste best! They just make lousy omelettes ...

I've never bothered with a blindfold, but I can tell you that we receive White, cream, light brown, brown, dark brown, two shades of green and blue eggs from our flock and there is no difference whatsoever ever noted in the flavor of any of them.....by anyone in the several households we feed

I have heard that some people think BCM eggs taste the best. They must be raising different BCMs because I can’t tell the difference. Maybe they taste better when they’re raised in France on wine grapes.
My chickens have eaten wine grapes straight from the vines, & I've never really noticed any difference in taste, or richness.

My last flock ate wine grapes too. I can’t imagine what people could think was so different about BCMs that would make their eggs taste any better. If there was something those particular chickens were eating that was only local to Marans, France you would think they could export it for the rest of us 😆
