brrrr. ***PICS***

Ya, we got about 9 the other day and only 4 over night last night. Its the fluffy Lake snow though. Easier to shovel, ya know? Did any of the hens come out to enjoy the sun? Its beautiful.

I have to make mine go in, they like the snow and cold weather. 19degrees this morning and they acted like it was no big deal. I don't get it.
 
Well, it may not "officially" be winter but the temp here this morning was 8 degrees. I have a small (4x8) coop with an attached 6x14 chain link fence dog run. Threw a big tarp over the run, stuck some clear 4mil. plastic sheeting on the end for light and our 7 hens were out until dusk. No wind makes a HUGE difference. The water was slushy in the coop this morning but they get fresh 1 or 2 x's a day in a rubber bowl from Agway. Easier to dump out and won't break.
