Scorch eventually slowed to a stop, letting Inferno, the foals and Ace draw alongside. She didn't know when or if this desert-like landscape would end.

"I'm sorry," Scorch said, not looking at Ace. "I don't know where to lead us. There's no fresh grass as far as I can smell."
Scorch's brief apology faded when she received no response from Ace. Snorting, she backed her ears. "You could say something." She resumed walking. "Move it, Inferno."Ace flicked his tail and narrowed his eyes a bit. He scanned the area around them, not answering Scorch
