After a long soak in the stream, Saya rolled in the mud at its bank. Rolo watched as he napped under a tree.

Zachorzi stood off to one side, keeping a watchful eye on his mares...all three of them. Yes, he'd finally taken Saya into his herd, which meant her next foal would be his. He turned to Angel, the lead mare, and whinnied.

Ace pricked his ears in half amusement at Scorch. He gazed at them a little bit longer, then put his head back down to eat

Scorch tried not to roll her eyes, as she reached to nibble at Ace's withers. While she still thought he was kind of an idiot, she loved him, and his attention was something she enjoyed. It was hard to get, however.
