Scarlet felt the air begin to cool down. She shivered at the thought of dingoes or some other predator attacking her. Scarlet finished her apple and then curled up, trying to keep warm and go to sleep.
Orestes moved to stand a few feet from Scarlet. While she tried to sleep, he would keep watch over her.

The strawberry roan mare finally dozed off to sleep, her front hooves tucked underneath her and her bad leg spread out.
Orestes cocked a hind hoof and kept lookout. Perhaps Scarlet would do him the honor of keeping guard while he slept later.

with out thinking Jewel bolted. then coming to her seances she whinnied to Moon to see if he was fallowing her.
Moon was just standing still, horrified.
