They were all testing positive at the clinic, thats why they surrendered them en mass. That last text was her informing me that parvo was in the litter.Unfortunately I see this way to many times in the animal care field in the south. Everyone here treats them as ways to make money or expendable toys. I'm not sure where you're located but it's extremely common here in FL.
It breaks my heart too and I'm so sorry you had to experience this.
Quick note: I know you're grieving, and I'm so sorry to mention this, but if you haven't already I would tell the clinic she surrendered them to about the parvo ASAP. Parvo is highly contagious and could kill a lot more dogs if those puppies aren't quarantined.
Yes, I'm all too aware of the contamination issue. Since we first suspected parvo Sunday night, he has been isolated in a bathroom. We have mostly wood floors and have been mopping with 15% bleach 2x daily since Sunday. We also immediately removed all rugs to be steamed. Anything that came into contact with him (or entered the sick room) was put in designated containers and washed with bleach.I'm so sorry for your puppy, and his littermates.
Remember that you now have this virus on your property! Only fully vaccinated adult dogs or older puppies can come to your house, for at least a year. Throw out anything that can't be bleached or disinfected with a product that kills parvovirus, as stated on the label. Many cleaners won't kill it.
You did your best, unlike the people who failed him.

I am so very very sorry. I thought he might have a chance because he was older than a lot of puppies that get parvo. You did the best you could and that is all anyone can do. My heart aches for you.Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes.
It breaks my heart to say that Bruno passed away early this afternoon. I was with him in his last moments.
I was so hopeful last night; he really seemed to be rallying only to take a nose dive this morning.
My vet assures me that we did all we could. Supportive care is the only option. They have to struggle through this horrible ordeal and some just don't have the reserves to fight what's happening to their bodies.
He deserved so much better than this, all dogs do.
He was with us less than 4 whole days, but he will always be remembered and loved by our family.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know what your going through. My dog died about a year ago. We took him to the vet and he was having breathing problems. There was nothing we could do. It developed very quickly. They sent him back home to spend his remaining days with us. A couple days later I was going out to take care of him and I couldn't find him. I searched everywhere. I walked by the road ,looked in our woods and the neighbors. No one could find him. He simply disappeared. It breaks my heart of think of him dying alone but it happened. It took me a couple months to start to get over it . He was my best friend. My parents got me another dog. A English Golden Retriever puppy. I named her Pearl. Things are going well now but she will never replace my other dog I love her very much. I'll be praying for you.Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes.
