Brutus, my roo, hates tennis shoes! *UPDATE PG. 2*

I didn't know the bird's history, only that he was new on the scene and may have carried with him past experiences that could have been affecting his behavior now. Hopefully with time and patience, he will be more calm. It can be unsettling for them to adjust to a new home, until they find they can trust it. I hope it works out okay.

Yeah, I don't think that Tim had anything to do with this boys behavior. I'm thinking it is a "woman" thing (because how Brutus acted towards Tim's wife, nos me) along with a shoe preference! I just got back inside from being in the run with him and my girls. I was wearing my "pink" crocs of course and he immediately looked at my feet when I entered the run and went his merry way!

I guess I will stick with the pink crocs in the run for now on!

Sometimes, roosters have the tendency to literally 'bite the hand that feeds'. They might think with you loving, petting, snuggling with the others is a bad thing. At least I lie to myself like that when it comes to Popcorn. We have a love/hate relationship..as in he loves to hate me. I am freakin scared of this boy.. the only way I can get myself to back him down is to talk to him as I walk up to him.."show me your yard Popcorn". If I just run at him, he stands his ground and flogs me. So far in the last week, he's kicked my bum, and made me twist my ankle. He looks to see what I'm wearing before he chooses his plan of attack. Shorts and flipflops, I'm done for.. Pants and boots, sneak attack.

Here's a pic of my bad boy that I took this afternoon. Just look at that face! How could something like that be so ornery?!?!

You know! Maybe those aren't really feathers that are sticking out on each side of his comb. Maybe they are horns!

Boy does that explain a lot!

Don't mean to sound...um....mean here, but ....................my opinions on this subject.

Why is that lots of people thinks that just because someone has to get rid of an animal that it is because something bad may have happened

I know both gumpsgirl and spatcher personally, and neither one of them would ever mistreat an animal.

Why? Why wear other shoes?
Crocs aren't good in the winter.

Had to stand for my friends on this. Sorry if it sounds wrong, but I had to.

and me,, i just stand up fer anyone hehe

i think this comment by JJ explains why the previous ones were made,, JJ had NO idea who owned the roo before, and was just coming up with ideas as of why the roo acted that way,, in NO way did i take any of the comments as "bad" towards anyone,, just ideas.
