Bubble under chick wing

It might be a leaking air sac, also called subcutaneous emphysema. Birds have air sacs all over the body which is part of their respiratory system. A bump or injury can cause one to rupture. As long as she is in no distress, I would just watch it and it will hopefully be reabsorbed back into the body. If it gets very large, just can insert a needle into it and pull the air out with a syringe or press it out with just a needle.

Hi everyone, I came here because I'm experiencing something similar with my five-week-old chick. Some days ago I noticed a small air bubble underneath each of his wings – at the wing knockle joint.

These air bubbles are very small compared to other Subcutaneous emphysema instances that I've seen. I'm wondering if I should pop both air bubbles with a needle or leave them heal by themselves.

I have examined the chick over the past few days and don't notice an enlargement or any sort of worsening. Additionally, there are no signs of illness. The chick looks, eats, drinks and walks perfectly fine as far as I can see.

Here are two pictures; one for each wing.

Please help me, this chick means a lot to me. @Wyorp Rock, @Eggcessive — do you have suggestions?
